Haus had an amazing day hosting a tea party in aid of Marie Curie on Saturday, June 22nd! We invited everyone from the charming borough of Fulham to enjoy some delicious cakes, brownies, coffee and tea with us on the beautiful Saturday afternoon.
We are delighted to announce that we raised £100 from the Marie Curie Tea Party and would love to thank our generous donors who attended and supported this wonderful cause.
Marie Curie provides care and support to those suffering from various terminal illnesses, such as cancer, motor neurone disease, heart failure and Parkinson’s disease.
The organisation is committed to helping people who are living with a terminal illness, as well as those affected by a loved one’s diagnosis. The group’s main drive is to help those who are ill receive the best quality of life.
The team at Haus greatly admire their dedication to offering not only treatment for pain with medicines, therapies and specialist approaches, but also the great value that they place on emotional support to help individuals and their families cope after receiving a terminal diagnosis.
The Marie Curie Tea Party is a chance for everyone across the UK to raise vital funds for Marie Curie, by hosting a tea party! Whether you bake up a storm or buy cakes and other tasty treats from the shops, all you need to do is price each slice!
After our participation in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support last year, we’ve been on the lookout for another cake-based charitable event we can get behind.
The Haus team rose to the challenge with a Marie Curie Tea Party. We welcomed locals from the area, happy to have a chance to come together and catch-up on what’s going on in the Fulham area! The peaceful borough is one of London’s attractive areas, ideally located in the West of London. It is spaciously laid out and a real delight for locals to stroll around in.
With picturesque green spots and riverside walks, it seemed like the perfect idea to host this meaningful event in our Fulham office. We welcomed everyone from the genteel borough to donate money for a great purpose.
With the money we raised, we can help pay for someone with a terminal illness to attend day therapy at a Marie Curie Hospice, where they can benefit from art classes and more! These funds can also help someone be looked after by a Marie Curie Nurse in the comfort of their own home or in a Marie Curie Hospice for a full day and night, receiving the care they need in their final days.
We would like to say a big thank you to Marie Curie for allowing us to be a part of this amazing experience and help individuals receive the care they deserve.
Fulham branch manager Jermain was among the team who came down to help raise the funds have a cake or two. He shared a few words on the event, saying: “The tea party was a fantastic way to spend a Saturday afternoon! Fulham always welcomes the chance for a get together and it's great for us to have the chance to catch-up with what's going on in the area, all in aid of a good cause.”
