Haus' Guide to Fulham's Top 5 Summer Hot Spots!

The sun's finally out. You’re in Fulham. In no particular order, here's our impartial guide to the top five places in SW6 where you should absolutely be al-fresco drinking/people watching this summer:

1. Vagabond

If wine is your thing then Vagabond is where you need to spend your warm summer evenings. Sit outside on the cobbles, Paris – style and try the rich selection of 100 wines on offer at this award-winning ‘enoteca’. These guys also have cool events on throughout the summer, including #ThirstyThursday and  ‘Beginners Guide to Wine’ evenings. Tucked down Vanston Place, a sweet leafy corner of Fulahm Broadway, this is the perfect place to soak up the last rays of the day with a fine wine in hand and a cheese and charcuterie board!

2. The Ship

Depending on where you draw the Fulham boundary, The Ship technically isn’t in Fulham as it sits on the south side of Wandsworth Bridge. But it’s close enough to be included in this little hot list! Bang-slap on the bank of the river, The Ship is tucked away down Jews Row, but once you find it you probably wont leave for many, many hours. This place is legendary in South West London, with a devoted crowd who’ll go every Sunday night for the live music and laid-back vibes! Always packed, always buzzing, this is a cracking place to get yourself a BBQ burger and fries and sit on the vast decking overlooking the water.

3. The Crabtree

This is a little gem of a place for sunny afternoons in the pub! Rumour has it that the Crabtree is “the place to be seen”…! They’ve got a glorious garden leading down to the river with great spots for seating and eating outside. There’s really nowhere better to be soaking up the rays  on a Sunday afternoon. Its village feel and gorgeous garden on the riverside mean it's always popular.

4. The Rose

This is the ultimate pub for all seasons! In the winter you’ve got roaring fires and cosy heat lamps under cavernous parasols, while in the summer-time the pretty walled garden is the perfect place for Pimms and bowl of fries! There’s a water feature and beautiful flowering shrubs and herbs  - you’d never know you are in London! What’s more, they often have a BBQ where you’ll find juicy burgers and even lobster being chucked on the grill!. The atmosphere is super-chilled here and you can expect lots of dogs and relaxed vibes!

5. The Jam Tree

The King of beer gardens – the Jam Tree’s outside seating area is an awesome place to be when the sun’s beating down. It’s only a 10 minute walk from Fulham Broadway and a total King’s Road favourite. The outside BBQ pit and alfresco bar make it very easy to stay outside in the sun all day. The Jam Tree has a late licence and their Friday and Saturday summer nights are not to be missed.

Now what are you waiting for? Pick your pub, whack on your shades and get out there!
