Future entrepreneurs crowned best in show
Haus Properties (www.hausproperties.co.uk), a south west London property agency, is delighted to announce the winners of the Entrepreneur of the Year Award, a competition it launched for Year Nine Enterprise students from Lady Margaret School, Fulham.
Haus Properties set the pupils a challenge to create a business plan which would bring an influx of commerce to the Parsons Green area. The business plans were judged by Jamie Lester, Head of Haus, (and former BBC Apprentice star) and Alison Bucknall, Head of Design and Technology, at the school’s Jubilee Garden Party on Saturday 23rd June. The winning proposal was submitted by Cecilia Neil-Smith and Jojo Wilson-Goldsmith, who designed a dog show event which was picked for its originality and strategic planning.
Jamie Lester, Head of Haus, comments: “We were really impressed by all the pupils’ level of ingenuity and entrepreneurial spirit in response to the task. Cecilia and Jojo were worthy winners as they were the only pair to provide a complete breakdown of their business plan from sponsorship, market analysis and costing (to the penny) - the effort and attention to detail was exceptional! You could clearly see their enthusiasm and passion behind the dog show – which is key to being a successful entrepreneur. All in all, a fantastic effort, and I would like to congratulate all students who took part.”
