Haunted Haus 2014 Trick or Treat Trail

As the clock struck 4pm on 31st October, something sinister descended on Fulham’s South Park…

A record number of terrifyingly dressed local children and their families gathered at Pag’s Café to join us and the Friends of South Park for what was surely west London’s biggest trick or treat trail. The gathering dusk was filled with the excited shrieks of children having their faces painted and the sinister sound of spooky piñatas being walloped rather aggressively by mini witches, demons and…firemen!

As darkness fell, we set off from the park, creeping along the Wandsworth Bridge Road, scaring passers-by and stopping off at Il Pagliaccio, Circus Circus, Chanteroy, Thaiphoon, Boma and Eye Studio. The friendly owners were ready for us with bucketfuls of treats, desperate to fend off the snarling mini-monsters who plagued their doorsteps.

Jamie Lester’s Halloween alter-ego, Jamie Fester, led the trick-or-treaters to the final destination of Haunted Haus, a creepy den of spiders, cobwebs, ghastly creatures and sinister, leering pumpkins.  They descended in a nightmarish frenzy on the Fulham Hausmates who literally couldn’t dish out sweets fast enough!

Thanks to our friends and neighbours who were brave enough to join us at Haunted Haus. We were thrilled to help raise money for South Park which is such a great space for local families to relax and play. Here’s to next year – it’s going to be monstrous…
