Once again we’ve teamed up with the Friends of South Park to sponsor the annual ‘Picnic in the Park’. Turning Sunday into Fun-day, the park was filled with amazing activities such as face-painting, a bouncy castle, and a mini funfair was provided by John Parnham FunFairs. Live music from John Shorts and the Grinders, The Singing Barber and Rupert, Cheques in the Post, Union Blues Band and Juliet Lawson! Not to mention a whole host of market/food stalls such as Thaiphoon Restaurant and Deli (possibly the best pad Thai in Fulham) and Il Pagliaccio BBQ had an immense selection of food ranging from fruit to pizza!
The day began at 11am when the residents of Fulham flocked to South Park armed with picnic baskets and rugs. A corner of the park was dedicated to the Children’s Dog Contest where parents gathered outside the ring to watch as their pride and joy jumped through hoops and performed their best tricks, the children did very well too!
This year we brought one of the haus Defender’s, and once again stuffed it with haus balloons. It didn’t take long until every possibility had been guessed and believe it or not, it took 134 balloons to fill cab and seats! Then it was time to reveal the winner and let the kids run riot in the truck.
We had such a great day in South Park and are absolutely chuffed that we managed to raise over £1000 to put towards renovation projects for various areas around our much loved South Park.
A huge Thank you to everyone who was involved and made the day so awesome! What a fab community focused day. Well done hausmates!
