On Saturday 22nd June we were the happy sponsors of the Lady Margaret Summer Garden Party 2013. Raising just under £1,500 for the school, all proceeds went towards new learning resources and building work . Luckily the rain kept away, leaving the general public to enjoy an afternoon full of traditional British fete fun!
The day featured stalls serving Pimm's, strawberries and cream, plant/book sales and crafts sold by the Lady Margaret Enterprise students. Entertainment also included a bouncy castle, children's games, a BBQ, raffle, bottle tombola and silent auction of gifts donated by local businesses.
The Haus clan had a super day chatting to locals and even had time to get involved in the festivities. From trying on traditional Victorian costumes with our friends at Fulham Palace to bidding in the silent auction, the whole team got involved.
We were also lucky enough to meet ‘the old gals’ of Lady Margaret’s, alumni from decades ago. We had an epic history lesson and got to check out old photographs and listen to tales from way back when.
The day was a fantastic celebration of the school and its pupils both past & present, a fun filled day open to the entire community.
