haus history

Haus Properties have a strong team, all skilled in estate agency with experience ranging from 2 to 40 years. We pride ourselves on local knowledge, market knowledge and our ability to identify with our clients and applicants, both of whom have spoken highly of our professionalism.

We may look new, but Haus has been operating in Fulham since November 1999. Before opening our Fulham office in November 2011, we were known as Hurlingham and have been on the Wandsworth Bridge Road for twelve years.

Estate agents - the good, the bad
and the ugly

When we originally started talking about haus, we asked everyone we knew (and lots of people we didn't) how they really feel about estate agents.

It was, as they say, something of an eye-opener.

What we would change

So this was our starting point for haus – to take all the irritations about dubious sales tactics and poor communication and find a more open, honest and collaborative way to work with our customers.

Keeping in touch

Team haus is made up of property professionals with a passion for customer service, who are committed to making a genuine difference.  Combined with the latest technology, we think we’ve found a way that really works.

What’s important to us

At haus, we believe that experience is everything.

Your experience will be one of friendly, proactive property experts who go the extra mile to get you the best price in the shortest time, giving you complete visibility every step of the way.

We're like you

Moving house doesn’t have to be complicated – you just need an estate agent who speaks your language. Welcome to haus.

What makes haus different?

Moving house doesn’t have to be stressful, you just need to have the right team behind you.  We’ll work with you to understand exactly what’s most important to you as you make your next move.  We’re specialists in everything from mortgages to marketing, so you’re in good hands.

Doing things properly

We don’t confess to knowing everything, but we do know about property.  We have 70 years’ property experience between us, which means we know what the good, the bad and the ugly of estate agency looks like.  Our aim is to do things differently, not just for the sake of being different, but because we think there is a better way.

We love local businesses

Supporting our local community is hugely important to the team at haus, and it starts with using local, independent suppliers wherever we can.

Our shiny brochures, phone and IT systems, marketing & PR, photographers, floor planners and artists are just a few of the things we continue to source from small local businesses.

By buying, renting or selling your property through haus, you’ll be helping us to support local businesses and keep our vibrant community alive.  Which, in the long run, benefits all of us.

Our aim

We've looked at every element of how we sell and let property, from the look and feel of our website and office to the quality of service we provide to customers.

We've asked people to share their experiences (the good, the bad and the truly ugly), and worked out how we can make every stage of the process more efficient, more transparent and genuinely better. We are committed to making Haus the number one choice for people looking to buy, sell and let premium property in west London.

Your Role

Right now we have two offices, in Fulham and Chiswick, but this is just the beginning for Haus. We have plans to open new locations across west London over the next five years; to achieve this and our other ambitious goals for the business, we need to recruit the right team.

Property expertise and local knowledge is a given, but we're looking for something else too - an uncompromising commitment to delivering first class customer service. We're not interested in everyday estate agents - we're recruiting the very best; proactive, efficient individuals who thrive on working in a dynamic, progressive environment, utilising some of the best technology on the market.

Our Background

A bit of background on Haus - it's been created by me, Jamie Lester. I've been working in the property business for 15 years, 8 of those in west London.I live in Fulham (SW6) with my wife and new baby, so I know this area well, and understand the priorities for individuals and families looking to make a move. I'm regularly seen and heard on BBC, ITV, BBC5live and feature in local and national newspapers, and am always available to meet our customers personally. We welcome feedback - it's how we'll make our business better.

What the Papers Say

South West London property agency, Haus Properties, has received a gold award for "Best London Estate Agency" (small) and bronze for "Best Website" at the Estate Agency of the Year Awards 2013. The prestigious event, held at The Lancaster Hotel on Friday, 6th December and sponsored by The Times and The Sunday Times, recognises the very best in estate agency.

The Estate Agency of the Year Awards is the longest running and most highly regarded awards event in the estate agency industry. Haus Properties' win follows their 2012 awards success, of "Best Newcomer" and "Best Innovation".

Haus Properties burst onto the scene in November 2011, and is designed to be a world away from the stereotypical view of estate agents. The judges were particularly impressed with the efforts of the entire team and paid homage to Haus' beautifully home-styled offices, "Open Book" - its online journal for vendors, as well as the team's excellent client contact. The judges were also impressed with Haus Properties strong community commitment and fundraising efforts.
